Gefascineerd door alles wat natuur is, is Irene al op 12 jarige leeftijd begonnen met kijken,ontdekken en vastleggen met haar eerste analoge Kodak camera. Op haar 16e maakt ze op de ouderwetse manier kennis met de doka en alles wat daarbij hoort.Maar het zou tot 2009 duren voor ze begon met het echte werk.
