To look is to create. The viewer is an artist himself. He who looks, creates the image himself. Without viewers there is no art. The images that Henk Tijbosch creates seem to have been designed for an entirely individual version of the Memory game. There is no need to turn over and search for the second copy. It arises naturally, in the viewer's head, where it nestles in the grey cells. Henk Tijbosch (1957, 's Hertogenbosch) has been addicted to graphic fragrances and products since 1980. The work area lies in the twelve provinces and sometimes beyond.
