Basically, there is no message to be found in my works. Messages contradict my understanding of art, because art should be free, free from all tasks, constraints, orders, obligations of all kinds. Everyone, myself included, can see what they see in works of art, feel what they feel, without having to think about any kind of meaning if they don't want to. Art should be open to any interpretation and that should not only apply to abstract art, but to all types of art. Whether the viewer separates art and artist or not is their own business. I myself separate art and artist, at least when the artist does not explicitly or obviously want to make a statement with his art. In this respect, I consider a work to be successful when it has become independent and can enter into a dialogue with everyone, even with its artistic creator.
