African lioness in evening sun.
The lioness was hissing at a bird in the water. She wanted to catch the bird, but was afraid of the water. Her face showed she is coming for the bird, but the sound (hiss) was less scary.. The bird just continued its course and the lioness eventually walked away. She did not want to het het paws wet this time... At least her face in the picture is feisty. I love those looks, so I took this portrait to show you should not mess with a lioness..
This photograph was taken during 'golden hour', hence the warm colours.
Lion, leeuw, Löwe
Note from the photographer: As an amateur photographer I do not have professional camera gear. My photos may not always be perfect for all sizes. This photo is (in my openion) best at 50x75cm in prints, larger prints might show some noise. On canvas noise is less visable, so larger sizes are fine.
